1 Description
Kit Contains (3) ½" and (1) ¾" Liquidtight Fittings. The fittings are designed to provide a liquidtight seal when using cables to wire the
drive. These fittings are suitable for all KB NEMA-4X drives. Table 1 shows the specifications of the fittings. Table 2 shows the drive
models and the fitting size and quantity to use. Figure 1 shows the order in which the fitting parts are assembled. Figure 2 shows the
assembled fitting.
2 Installation Instructions
The sealing washer must be installed on the outside of the enclosure. See Figures 1 and 2. Insert the cable after step 2.4.
2.1 Install the sealing washer onto the fitting’s body (side opposite the collet).
2.2 Insert the fitting’s threaded portion (side opposite the collet) through the enclosure mounting hole.
2.3 Hand tighten the locknut as far as possible.
2.4 Hold the body hex stationary with a wrench. Use another wrench to tighten the locknut to the torque specified in Table 1.
2.5 Insert the cable through the sealing nut, collet, and fitting’s body to the desired length.
2.6 Hand tighten the sealing nut as far as possible.
2.7 Hold the body hex stationary with a wrench. Use another wrench to tighten the sealing nut to the torque specified in Table 1.
3 Cable Removal or Replacement Instructions
To loosen the fitting for cable removal or replacement, use a wrench to hold the body hex stationary. Use another wrench to loosen the
sealing nut. Grip the disconnected cable and pull while turning the cable in the counterclockwise direction.
